We won Business of the Year (less than 50 employees)
Last night our name was called for Business of the Year, less than 50 employees. We cheered, hugged, and then did what we always do the next morning. We opened our site diaries and got back to work.
The night in brief
Round tables. White linen. Blue water glasses. SME logos across the stage. The room was full of small teams like ours. People trading stories about deadlines and near misses. The dress code was “dress to impress,” and Surrey’s businesses did exactly that.
What this award means
The SME Surrey Business Awards bring together 20 categories and use judges from a national panel. They celebrate the firms that keep the county moving.
Our category recognises businesses under 50 people that show strong management, steady growth, and real commercial results. That fits how we try to run Sterlingworth. Make clear plans. Deliver on time. Own the outcome.

A growing team
We are still under 50 people and we are growing. Over the last year we have added surveyors and support staff, sharpened our templates, and increased training time so new joiners write to the same standard as our senior team. The goal is simple. When a client asks “Which survey do I need,” we give a straight answer and a clear route to a decision.
